This family-friendly drop-in invites children and caregivers to slow down and connect with the natural world. Each week, our facilitator gently guides a two-hour session filled with opportunities to explore, hike, create, connect, and play in rhythm with the forest and the season. Our Gore Rd woodland is a rich, diverse Carolinian forest—home to bald eagles, owls, hawks, songbirds, frogs, toads, raccoons, and more. In spring, the forest floor blooms with trilliums and Jack-in-the-Pulpit. Overhead, shagbark hickory, sycamore, and sumac provide shade and inspiration. From lichen on logs to whispers in the trees, there’s always something magical to discover.
🌼 Parents/Caregivers remain with children for the full two-hour session.
This is a shared experience meant to nurture connection—with each other and with nature. In the spirit of community care, this program is offered by donation. We are committed to keeping it accessible to all.
Come as you are. Bring snacks if you like. Let the forest meet you where you’re at. 🌳
